Covering the 11th century Qutub Minar, The word ‘Qutub’ itself, means ‘pole of justice’. The Qutub Minar made of red sandstone rising to the height of 72.5mts is an architectural marvel of the 13th century. India Gate, a majestic high arch, 42 meters high, built as a memorial to the Indian soldiers killed in the World War I. It is called the All India War Memorial. Breakfast in the train, Arrive Agra in approx. 02 hours & Proceed for the sightseeing tour of - Taj Mahal- It is a White marble memorial (seven wonders of the world )Built by Shah Jahan to his beautiful wife Mumtaz Mahal.Little needs to be said about this architectural wonder which is always the soul raison-de-etre for every tourist's visit to Agra., This monument took 22 years, 20,000 men laboured over to complete and designed it. It is planned by Persian architect Ustad Isa. Apart from its stunning design balance and perfect symmetry, the Taj is also noted particularly for its elegant domes, intricately carved screens and some of the best inlay work ever seen.. Agra Fort- Built by the famed Mughal emperor Akbar in 1565 AD, the fort is predominantly of red sandstone. Ensconced within is the picture perfect Pearl Mosque, which is a major tourist attraction. stands on the banks of the river Yamuna and the construction was started by Emperor Akbar in 1566. At the Diwan-I-Am (hall of public audience), a colonnaded hall of red-sandstone with a throne alcove of inlaid marble at the back, the Emperor heard public petitions. At the Diwan-I-Khas (hall of private audience) where marble pavilions with floral inlays lend an ethereal ambience, the Emperor sat on his gem-studded Peacock Throne and met foreign ambassadors and rulers of friendly kingdoms. Afternoon deive to Jaipur & proceed for sightseeing of Fatehpur Sikri-The deserted city Fatehpur Sikri was the capital of the Mughal Empire between 1570 and 1585.It was founded by the Mughal emperor Akbar to honor the Muslim saint Shaikh Salim Chishti, who had foretold the birth of Akbar's son and heir, Jahangir. Fatehpur Sikri stands untouched and perfectly preserved; a complete medieval fortress of red sandstone, with vast central squares, exquisitely carved multi-tiered pavilions, cool terraces and formal gardens. Day 04 / Jaipur - Delhi | : | After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing tour of Jaipur & visit the impressive Amber Fort- located in Amber 11 km from Jaipur, It is set on the dry wrinkled Aravali Hills, and surrounded by fortified battlements. The City Palace has projecting balconies, arches and the entrances. The palace covers one-seventh of the area in Jaipur& transfer to hotel. Later visit Hawa Mahal- Constructed in 1799.It is the most sensational monument in the city of Jaipur. Hawa mahal ( Palace of Winds ) from which the royal ladies, confined to their quarters, could sneak views of the outside world. The palace has 953 niches and windows. Breakfast in the train, Arrive Amritsar & check into the hotel. In Evening visit the Wagah Border- It is about 28 kms. from Amritsar is the only border crossing between India and Pakistan. It's an interesting experience to watch Border Retreat Ceremony takes place with the BSF on the Indian Side of the Border. Day 06 / Amritsar- Delhi | : | After breakfast visit Golden Temple- it is the most exalted of all Sikh shrines also known Harmandir Sahib Gurdwara. It is a symbol of the magnificence and strength of the Sikh people all over the world. Golden Temple is widely regarded as being amongst the most tastefully decorated shrines anywhere. The art and architecture of the temple has been praised lavishly by generations. This is an example of the spirit of tolerance and acceptance that the Sikh philosophy propounds. Also visit the Jallianwala Bagh-It is also known as the Amritsar Massacre, was named after the Jallianwala Bagh (Garden) in the northern Indian city of Amritsar, where, on April 13, 1919, British Indian Army soldiers under the command of Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer opened fire on an unarmed gathering of men, women and children.
